The 3-Box Backlog Triage

Get everything out of your head, then give each item one honest home. Today holds two things at most.

Why traditional to-do lists fail when you're overwhelmed

A long list puts every task in front of you at once. Your brain tries to weigh them all, which is tiring and often ends in doing none of them.

      The 3-box rule

Give every item one home: today, later or gone. Capping today at two makes it achievable. Parking the rest out of sight reduces mental clutter, and dropping things on purpose removes quiet guilt.

      FAQs

Why only two things for today?

When you're overwhelmed, a short list is easier to start and finish. Two keeps today realistic; anything else can wait safely in Later.

Is it okay to drop tasks?

Yes. Some tasks no longer matter, or someone else can do them. Dropping them on purpose clears space without guilt.

      Is my list saved?

No. It stays in this browser tab only. Copy anything you want to keep before closing the page.
